VALE .........COLIN “Nugget” TULLY

North Hobart Cricket Club is saddened by the passing of one of their greats, Colin “Nugget” Tully. Colin came to the Club via South Hobart Cricket Club in the early 80’s taking over as Club Coach and Captain from Rob Jeffrey in the 82/83 Season . Nugget was a powerful left handed batsman and a feared right arm bowler. In his 5 Seasons at the Club, he amassed 2482 runs at an average of 35.96. His highest score was 222no and he hit a whopping 172 fours and 51 sixes. As a bowler, his quick slinging action netted 142 wickets at an average of 24.6 off 1269 overs. Nugget won the Club Champion Award.....the Cotton Medal, twice in those 5 years.

Colin’s involvement in Cricket in this state extended to stints with Brighton CC when they first entered the 1st Grade Comp and also as the U19 State Coach. Colin also served on the TCA Board

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time
